Clinical Pharmacist – Acute Care & Ambulatory Services (12–13 Week Contract)

Overview
A respected regional healthcare organization in central Pennsylvania is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to support both inpatient hospital operations and ambulatory clinic services. This contract opportunity offers competitive weekly pay and the ability to contribute to diverse areas of clinical practice, including anticoagulation management, oncology support, and comprehensive medication review. The ideal candidate is adaptable, clinically strong, and comfortable working across multiple care settings within an integrated health system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical pharmacy services across inpatient acute-care units and ambulatory clinics
  • Perform medication order verification, therapeutic monitoring, and clinical review
  • Support anticoagulation clinics through dosing, monitoring, and patient follow-up
  • Assist oncology services with medication coordination and supportive care review
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with providers on drug therapy plans
  • Conduct medication reconciliation and support transitions-of-care workflows
  • Respond to drug information inquiries from clinicians and patients
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, safety practices, and organizational policies
  • Document clinical interventions and maintain accurate pharmacy records
  • Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems for order management and documentation


Qualifications

  • BS in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred
  • Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
  • Recent hospital or acute-care pharmacy experience preferred
  • Experience in ambulatory practice, anticoagulation, or oncology support strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with EMR systems
  • Strong communication and clinical problem-solving skills


Work Environment & Schedule
This is a 12–13 week assignment based in central Pennsylvania within a large, multi-site healthcare system. Full-time schedule; specific shift details provided during the interview. Weekly pay range is $2,750–$3,050, with travel support commonly available through the hiring agency.
